It is hard to believe how quickly the year is moving along. It feels like just yesterday we were setting goals and preparing for the challenges ahead in 2026. Now we are already looking toward the future, and one thing is as true today as it has always been: PPOA is strongest when we stand together.
Every day, our members answer the call. You work long hours, miss holidays with your families and step into situations that most people will never experience. You do it because you believe in serving others. That commitment deserves a union that serves you with the same dedication. That is exactly what PPOA is here to do.
Our job is to protect your rights, fight for fair treatment and make sure your voice is heard. Whether we are negotiating contracts, defending members during difficult situations or working to improve pay, benefits and working conditions, our mission never changes. We stand beside our members because no one should have to face these challenges alone.
A strong union does not happen by accident. It is built by members who care enough to get involved. This fall, PPOA members will once again have the opportunity to elect leaders who will guide our union into the future. Leadership is about more than holding a title. It is about listening, serving and making decisions that protect every member today while preparing for tomorrow.
Our current Board has worked hard to move PPOA forward, but every generation brings new ideas and new energy. That is why I encourage members who want to make a difference to consider running for the Board of Directors or finding another way to become involved. Whether you serve as a delegate, volunteer on a committee or simply share your ideas, your participation makes our union stronger.
You do not have to have all the answers to become a leader. What matters most is having the heart to serve, the courage to speak up and the willingness to work for something bigger than yourself. Those are the same values that make great personnel, and they are the values that build a great union.
As your president, I want every member to know that PPOA will continue fighting for you. We will continue protecting your rights, supporting your families and standing with you through every challenge. When one member succeeds, we all succeed. When one member needs help, we all stand together.
Thank you for the trust you place in PPOA. It is an honor to serve you. I encourage you to stay involved, support one another and help shape the future of our union. Together, we will continue building a stronger PPOA for the next generation of members, just as those before us built it for us. No matter what challenges lie ahead, remember that you will never stand alone because PPOA will always stand with you. Until next time, stay safe, stay well and we will see you very soon.
