On October 13, PPOA received the sad news that former LASD Undersheriff Ted Von Minden passed at the age of 92. The dynamic, well-respected leader served the Sheriff’s Department for 38 years following his service with the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. Von Minden was also one of PPOA’s original members when this union was established in 1951, and he maintained his membership for 67 years.
