An official board election ballot count was conducted this morning (2/19/25) in the PPOA conference center. The election results confirmed that Custody Assistant Melissa Rodriguez has been elected to serve as a director on the PPOA board.

The following ballot count numbers have been verified:
Custody Assistant Rodriguez will be sworn in as a director at the upcoming PPOA board meeting on March 12, 2025.
The ballot count was conducted by UniLect, an independent election firm. PPOA is grateful to all members who took the time to cast a ballot and to the following members who volunteered to serve on today’s election committee and monitor/verify the ballot count:

PPOA extends heartfelt thoughts to all who have been affected by the devastating fires in Los Angeles County. President Steve Johnson has visited or made contact with a growing number of PPOA members who have lost a home in the wildfires. Please click here to help us support PPOA members who have endured tragic loss. Donations to the Star & Shield Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law (Tax ID: 95-4752410). Every donation helps provide much needed relief to our impacted PPOA members and their families during this difficult time.
